Since the beginning of 2020, the newly constructed halls in Pörsdorf have been brought to life. Our company relocated its headquarters to the modern production and storage facility within sight of the highway.
Just under nine months have passed since the groundbreaking ceremony in April 2019, and the employees have now settled into their new workplaces. Generous work areas are now available, and production and warehouse logistics have been streamlined. The company’s expansion has left its mark. For years, extensions were built, expansions carried out, and operations outsourced. But now improvement is setting in. The situation is also easing for the residents of Rüdersdorf. Heavy trucks, supplier traffic, and freight operations through the town center are now a thing of the past. Facility 1 will not be abandoned, however: The machines continue to run and consistently generate profits for the company with an upward trend. Karl Verpackungen remains an attractive employer in the region, a diligent contributor of business taxes, and a source of prestige for the municipality of Kraftsdorf – now at 2 locations.
The two company locations are intended to bring many advantages. Logistics are to be simplified, and Facility 2 in Pörsdorf can be reached more quickly and with less impact on the local area. Externally rented storage space has been relinquished in favor of the new warehouse. Employees have access to state-of-the-art equipment and workplaces. Much has happened, many things are improving and changing. This also applies to service. Administration and sales have also moved to the new building and continue to provide friendly and competent advice to existing and new customers, suppliers, and partners.
However, every innovation also brings challenges. Communication and logistics between the locations will fall into place, and business partners will become accustomed to the new access routes.
Now our company can tackle the next challenges, whether they are difficult, like the coronavirus crisis, or forward-looking, like sustainable paper packaging.
